Southern Secrets by the Spoonful 2.0! Ultimate San Isidro Festival and Culinary Tour of San Pablo, Laguna and Quezon.
Tour Description:
Laguna/ Quezon Province and the San Isidro Labrador Festival. It's fiesta time in this month of May and what better way to drink, eat and be merry as we head south to explore charming Quezon province. It's the best time of the year as we join in the revelry and celebrate feast of San Isidro de Labrador! First off, to the town of Lukban and Pahiyas festival where we'll feast our eyes over a smorgasbord of food, music,artistry and local color! Then on to the neighboring town of Sariaya to join the street celebrations of the Agawan Festival. Along the way, we'll follow the 'way of the sun' - Viaje del Sol- and discover the the quaint dining establishments, meet the personalities and immerse ourselves in true Tagalog hospitality!

Thank you for a most exciting tour of Quezon province. As I child, our family travelled to and from Bicol via Quezon but our stop was always limited to a snack, lunch or load gas. Little did I realize the rich heritage and cuisine that lay within its borders.
The stops in restos in Tiaong, San Pablo City, Sariaya and Lucban are now evidenced by the happy pounds that I've gained which my personal trainer will now have to undo.
The stops at centuries-old churches, monuments and homes were all picture-worthy. Kubli springs was an adventure worth mentioning. Trekking at night is not something I'd do but since we were over 20 people and well, game na despite it being out of my comfort zone. Once in awhile, one is ok in pushing himself out of his box, right ??
Kudos also to Tina Decal for her knowledge, her passion for promoting Southern Tagalog. The Viaje del Sol is sheer delight for all the senses.
Your tours are indeed ultimate. It would have been extreme had the accommodations been better. Am sure there are treasures within Quezon that are raring to be discovered.
