Hi Anton
Batanes is in my must visit list, however, a bit anxious due to definiteness of flights to/from and available accommodation. For this tour, what flight will you be taking? what kind of accommodation can be expected? Would there be private toilet and bath, in case we are a couple going? Are we supposed to be fit and to be swimmers?
Thanks.

admin @ 9:49 am

We are taking the highend resort in Batanes, Lafuncion Pacita and booking Seair flight. Expect hassle-free service throughout. Yes, if you are a couple, we will assign one of the rooms. We book the entire resort so we will allot it appropriately to the participants.

You don't really need to be fit or to be a swimmer to join this tour.

judith @ 12:24 pm

grest shot at the Marlboro Hills with the cliffs in the background. WOW! i didn't know Lafundacion Pacita ( TUKON )is open for rent. If only i knew then we could have stayed there instead of the batanes Seaside Resort. :)I agree..it has the best view.

asunta @ 4:01 am

anton, AM I ALREADY in this one??

leona @ 4:14 am

Hi!
I've been to Batanes twice . I am curious about your "ultimate culinary….. of Batanes. When I was there four years ago, it was off-season for the popular local garlic of the province. It was such a sad sight to see garlic from China being sold in the Basco Public Market. Except for the coconut crab, which was available only in Sabtang., the most exotic food served to us was fried flying fish. Can you please include in your itinerary and tour description the food that will be served during the tour? I tell my freinds and relatives that Batanes is beautiful but food is pretty boring.Maybe your menu will change my perception about Batanes food.

Anton @ 4:20 am

We are aiming to change this perspective about all the places in the Philippines!

We are sending the detailed info to all the people who reserved and inquired about the tour.

jomar @ 8:40 am

Batanes food…boring?

Hmm. yes flying fish in different kinds of cooking styles. kalamansi infused coconut juice (first time i tried ever), lobster, coconut crab, strange fish….

I think you need to eat out with a family in batanes to find out what else can be eaten –basically anything they catch can be-and they don't sell it.

chinggay lopez @ 9:58 am

Anton @ 1:18 am

Here is the website of Fundacion Pacita:
http://www.fundacionpacita-batanes.com/ppc/

Email me for the answers on these 10 FAQs about the Batanes Tour:

1. What is the Website of Fundacion Pacita?
2. Can you send me detailed itinerary of the tour?
3. When is the deadline for payment?
4. Where do we deposit payment - bank account number / Do you accept credit cards?
5. When is the Deadline for reservation cancellation (in case some unforseen circumstances come about)?
6. Your Batanes tour appears to cover essentially the same things from XXX Express Travel which offers a Valentine's Day Batanes Special for P24,000 per person but at a cost of P28,000 per person, a substantial difference of P4,000 per person. Is it possible to have a rationale for this difference? Of course, your advantage is that we already know you and your group…
7. What are the types of room/accommodation in Fundacion Pacita?
8. Can 6 yr old join the tour? How much for children?
9. Could you pls give me other tour dates for batanes?
10. What are the types of food to be served?

alan @ 2:17 am

hi, here's the updated Fundacion Pacita website

Hi Anton, can you please email me the itinerary for the May 23-26 trip? We already have round trip tickets so is it alright if we only pay for the tour? We're only 2 people going. And could you please also send me the cost of the tour without the plane tickets (if available). Thanks.

Susan Pua @ 2:29 am

Hi,

I heard the weather on May for Batanes is unpredictable. How true is this?

Susan

May 9, 2009

Mary Ann @ 4:26 pm

I heard that it takes 6 months to book flights to Batanes. And I also heard that the best time to visit Batanes is between Dec to May, or during the non-rainy months to avoid being stranded on the island due to foul weather. Are these info true? In this regard, would you have by now next year's Batanes tour schedules since I plan visiting some time mid- to late-Feb 2010. Would appreciate more details on the tour and payment arrangements especially if one books from outside the country. Thank you so much.

June 6, 2009

manolet @ 2:33 pm

HI,

would you have schedules for your march or april 2010 trips to Batanes? Would like to join your group. We will be 4 people, possibly 9.
Thanks

Armi Dorado @ 8:29 am

July 3, 2009

rhemiejison @ 10:46 am

hi you have a schedule on jul 17 -20. we'll be flying from the province and i'm hoping you have a trip scheduled

September 16, 2009

Kikoman @ 1:02 pm

hello anton. i guess P32,000. per pax is too pricey for a 4 day tour in Batanes and 20 people in a tour group is kind of too crowded. don't you think? this kind of tour basically catters for a cetain group of people I coined 'comfort travellers'.

Elle Morante @ 9:19 am

Hello Ultimate Philippines Team,
I badly need a vacation and ever since I’ve wanted to visit Batanes. The problem is no one would like to join me because of their tight budget. My friends always end up traveling abroad since the expenses are almost the same.
Is there any way you could fit me to your waitlist for May’s travel period.
Send me the details ahead of time since I need to file a leave once you confirmed.
Hope to see you guys.
